Disclaimer: Heavy use of profanities in the post below… reason being I was thoroughly pissed off….
The cheapest news channel on the market… this is what I feel about aaj tak…
I think that news channel is a HUGE pile of steaming turd… I saw one shit on it a couple of weeks ago that made me sick… there was a one hour special going on, it was about Sushmita Sen’s list of crushes…
ok… so it is a harmless gossip… fark my arse and call me bich… it was any thing but gossip the way the presenter was speaking… it made Sushmita (Miss universe for those with ultra short term memory) seem like a prostitute… they were counting the number of males she was going out with and didn’t go for a long term relationship…
The field reporter corrected the show hostess when she had said ”Sushmita ki zindagi main chatha (6th) insaan” <The 6th guy in sushmita’s love life>.
He corrected her that actually this guy is seventh!!! WTF!!! who gives these press people the freedom that they can keep a count on personal relationships!!! If what ever they said was true… then definitely sushmita is looking for the right person… instead of letting her be… wishing her success in her search these so called “keepers of freedom” are nagging her! All they could end up doing would be to press sushmita to go into a relationship even if she doesn’t feel like doing it… she might commit just to keep these pesky critters away from her.
They didn’t even leave the poor guy… they were pondering if so many people have come into sushmita’s life because it will improve their image, get them invited to more Page3 parties… is their thinking this narrow???
I think freedom of speech is a good thing… but as Aaj Tak has taught us… too much of a freedom can be a bad thing… these guys should be kept in check… they have loose tongues. One should always keep it in mind… a soft spoken person is always heard… but those with sharp tongues are mostly ignored… rightly so…

He he… pretty frustratin, ain’t it? I thnk dey sud change the channel’s name 2 ‘Bad Talk’.

When you look at the footage of Gujjar agitation, it reminds you of sad reality of India. That sad reality of lack of education and tribal mind set.
The agitation of this kind is nothing but illegal. This must be stopped at all levels. Col. Bainsla is building a platform for a himself and a select few, this should not be allowed at such a high cost.
Gujjars should not be allowed to hold the country at ransom like this. This is shameful.

It is absurd to suggest, as has been done by the Congress, that the BJP Government in Rajasthan is not trying hard enough to defuse the time-bomb ticking away in that State’s Gujjar land. The demand of the Gujjars, that they be re-classified as a Scheduled Tribe and thus be provided with quota benefits meant for listed tribes, is untenable; to accept it would amount to opening the floodgates of similar ludicrous demands across the country. In any case, the violent and bloody means adopted by the agitating Gujjars, led by Mr Kirori Singh Bainsla, a retired colonel who has not allowed the honour of an Army officer to stand in the way of his letting down the Government of Rajasthan — he should know why — forecloses all options of a negotiated settlement. For any talks between the State Government and the Gujjars to begin, Mr Bainsla must first call off the agitation, send his supporters home, cremate the 14 corpses of agitators killed by the police for indulging in arson and worse and now festering in the summer heat, and dissociate the movement he claims to lead from dacoits and other criminals who have used the platform provided by him to mock at the Indian state’s authority and pour scorn on Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. Such crudity has no place in a civilised society and to accept the Gujjars’s demand would signal capitulation by the state before those who hold the rule of law in contempt. Ms Raje has done well to deal with the situation with steely determination; hopefully authorities in the National Capital Region will not be found wanting in their response to the violence that has been threatened by Gujjars on Thursday. The depredations of the agitating Gujjars cannot be condoned; nor can they be allowed to hold an entire State to ransom and disrupt life in adjacent areas simply because they are adamant about not listening to the voice of reason and moderation.
Meanwhile, the Union Government would do well to take an early view on the State Government’s proposal to create a separate four to six per cent quota for Gujjars, Gadia Lohars, Banjaras, etc, through an amendment to the Constitution, as has been suggested by Ms Vasundhara Raje. This is the best that can be done to accommodate the Gujjars’s demand; the question of reclassifying the entire community does not arise. The Congress would be instigating a wider caste conflict if it does not desist from adding fuel to the raging fire. Comments by its leaders, including Mr Sachin Pilot, and continuing attempts by the Union Government to blame the State Government for the messy situation, are uncalled for. Indeed, it would not be incorrect to suggest that the Congress’s hand is guiding the Gujjars to harden their position and take a belligerent stand; it serves the party’s purpose of creating a distraction from the Islamist attack on Jaipur, which has predictably been edged out of newspapers and news bulletins, and adding to the problems of Ms Vasundhara Raje. We should not forget that Assembly election is due in Rajasthan this year and the Congress, having been routed by the BJP in successive polls, is desperate to demonstrate that it is not a permanent loser. Nor should we forget that it is the Congress’s cynical politics of caste and communal identity that has whetted the appetite of those who are running amok in Rajasthan and malcontents waiting their turn in other States. The dragon’s teeth sown by the Congress have begun to sprout. We must now prepare for a bitter harvest.
CM was always clear in her speech and she never promised ST status to the Gujjars. It’s a clear case of miscommunications fuelled by politics and holding the state to a ransom.
The Gujjars have held the nation to ransom, disrupting property and many lives have been lost. I don’t mean to say that their protests are not valid or they should protest in a democratic manner. But at the same time they need to understand that the way in which they have been protesting might not be favourable to the society and people at large. Why is it not possible for them to listen to their own elected CM and believe her that she never made any such promises.
Government has always come forward for the cause of the Gujjar community, but has never promised of giving them reservation as it is not under the capacity of a state government.
work for india
dont make any jocks on news chiainal.

Media should play an active role in solving the major issues prevailing in our country, like the ongoing Gujjar crisis.
Is the freedom that the press have got is to show these type of coverage which doesn’t give the clear picture of the issue, and leave the viewers clueless regarding the issue and leave them guessing about all the wrong possibilities to solve the issue.
The recent event relating to reservation agitation in Rajasthan, are only a glimpse of hoe the caste issue has reached its most complex stage. Clearly looking at the conditions of the Gujjar they need an affirmative action. Whether this action can only be done by the caste base reservation not is a bigger question. This can’t be answered overnight by CM of Rajasthan alone. Gujjar are spread across 11 states, even if their demand to downgrade them from OBC to ST is accepted, there is no way there economic & social condition would change as the ground reality of India is changed.
The recent coverage of Gujjar agitation y the media channel has been irresponsible, headlines such as ‘Chakka Jam’, ‘Politics over cremation’, ‘Ping Pong between centre & state govt’, reflect immaturity of the Indian media. This is an issue that needs addressed not only by the state & the central govt, but also by the media. Media has the responsibilities to not sensationalize the issue & focus on addressing the issues of lack of education and livelihood opportunities. The opportunities can only be increased in an environment that is conducive for development.
In the recent stalemate on the Gujjar agitation & the state gov and the Central gov. silence is nothing but a political trick. After all Rajasthan is also a part of India and the problem is not limited to Rajasthan and cannot be left alone as a local issue. The central government must break the silence & come forward to resolve the issue.
The media should be more active towards it social responsibilities and bring awareness among the public. Media should participate actively in resolving the national issues as the sentiments of people are attached to it. As the present responsibilities shown by the media in the Gujjar issue is really heart breaking as one is forced to think the level of journalism compared to the earlier days.
Nowadays what we are being showed in different news channel is not a complete news but just news to earn TRP. Where are those daring journalism gone? Why the media is not taking active role in resolving an issue and creating awareness about an issue, as it is the medium than transmits across the country and builds ideologies and creates thoughts.
The centre’s response in the entire Gujjar issue is shocking. It is not making any attempt to solve the issue before it becomes a big problem. Centre should intervene in the matter as soon as possible so as to save the public property being damaged by the protesters, save the loss of revenue and the most important is to safeguard the emotions and sentiments of its people that are being hurt.
The land of great leaders like Gandhi where the independence was taken by the means of non violence, these Gujjar are bringing bad name to the nation by doing armed protest for meeting their demands, which is ironically to degrade their social status.

Why the media is not taking active role in resolving an issue and creating awareness about an issue, as it is the medium than transmits across the country and builds ideologies and creates thoughts.

Kapsii…. You started off as a protestor against aaj tak…
nice blog… though, people hav opened their BIG box of Grievances
just to say, I totally agree with you, that media… esp gossip seeking media like aaj tak should let celebrities be!
as a footnote: I remember how the drama of a cat supposedly ‘trapped’ on the second floor of a building’s parapet was covered by aaj tak for like an hour! So… should we be happy that nothing else of importance was happening in the world at the time!?
lol… well put…
I did start off as a protester and still am… have stopped watching it all together, but still I let the comments come as I really cannot get my self to deny them some space… people really have opened their sad stories, just feel bad that I cannot do anything about them at the time…
The medial should be more active towards terrorism.
There should be no interference of other countries in our country to spread terrorism & encourage terrorism. We don’t want to establish relationship with these countries who spread terro in India from a long time. We want peace. There should be no link with these countries like transportation, sports, and media. This is a lesson for them. Even we don’t want to establish any political relationship with these countries. To establish any kind of relationship with these country, it is only & only loss of our country. It is a wake up time for politicians. Media play active role in solving any kind of issue. Only media can play major role to solve it.
Dear All,
It is a BIG issue. It is my request to read it CAREFULLY. After all this, It is time for PAKISTAN embassy to PACK THEIR BAGS. Every true Indian HATE terrorism. No Pakistani should be allowed to come in India in any case. They come from many years & encouraging TERRORISM. Ministers and Politician can not understand this. Only suffering or middle class persons can understand this. This should not understand by INDIA ONLY, even whole WORLD should understand. I really appreciate media efforts. Only MEDICA CAN RESOLVE IT.
This is a pretty strong statement and in no way do I endorse it. I truly believe that stereotyping is the prime cause of strife among countries/races/cultures.
I admit that what we have seen so far makes it easier to believe that the stereotypes we have in our minds are justified, but then, I had rather put my money on my faith in humanity as a whole & wait for it to be rewarded rather than sit n moan at the stereotypes we have created.
Terrorists are a$$holes, I really do not understand what they do and why they do it? But I do believe that as Indians, we should be more careful. Why wait for an act of terror to tighten the security cordon in the airports? Why not do it before hand? Haven’t they heard the saying “Better safe than sorry”?
Dear All,
JULAM KARNA PAAP HAIN, PER JULAM SEHNA USSE BHI BADA PAAP HAIN
dude great.. wen did u start a news channel… u never invited… he he ha..
.
it is not only about aaj tak or kal tak.. it happens with almost all 3rd grade news channels… u shud try other channels too..

Dear All,
Wah jakar hum Cricket khele, Ya phir unhe jahan bulaye ki, WELCOME ji jahan aao or spectator ke roop mein Terrorist lao / Terrorist ko wadawa do. Bahut so chuke. JAGO INDIA JAGO
Good Job done by media.
Per abhi bhi bahut kuch karna baki hain. Kashmir India ka part hain. Kisi bhi dusre mulak ki isme koi bhi dakhal bardhasat nahin hoga. HAMEIN KASHMIR SE SARA UGARBAD KHATAM KARNA HOGA. Otherwise un logo ke honsle buland hote rahenge.
Gurpreet,
I appreciate the love for nation shown by you… you have hit the nail on the head, we have to fight terrorism, It may sound awkward, but I guess India is doing a good job at that… India is constantly under attack from terrorism. Our motherland is a big country, there are many places to sneak into India from. Every single terrorist attack is sad, but against all odds, if you look at it, I am sure most of the terrorist attacks are thwarted.
I believe that to defeat terrorism, we Indians have to strengthen our weaknesses, build a strong foundation, if we conquer our weak will to fight corruption, if we can learn to love and accept each other despite the differences in religion and region, if we trust each other, terrorists will find it difficult to get organized & get the logistics right… we just have to watch each others backs!
Regards,
Kapsii

It is indeed unfortunate that the police are sitting over the FIR that you have lodged and not taking any action.
I am not affiliated to any news agency nor do I hold any position of power in the country, I am an ordinary citizen like you, but if we stand together, we are the strongest force there can be. Hang in there, gather support from your neighbors and friends. See if any government officials are available.
I am in no position to offer any concrete help right now, but I will see what I can do…
Regards,
Kapil.
